Usage
The fruit on the loofa plant is used for cooking as a squash or cucumber if harvested early. Later the plant develops a fiber like structure and when harvested the outer shell is removed. Inside you will find a dry sponge structure to use for either household or shower. Despite the minimal weight the loofa sponge has a high vertical strength.
